Introduction:

This role will support the Reconciliation business and Technology in delivering their Strategic change, focussing on the Business Analysis requirements.

What will you be doing?

Design: As part of the delivery of business change, the Business Analyst will:

  • Support business case development in support of designs.
  • Work with business-side clients to produce clear sets of requirements that enable the business to realise its required benefits.
  • Perform a “root cause” issues analysis with key stakeholders by conducting interviews or workshops to further evaluate and identify solutions and/or alternatives to meet the business requirements.
  • Ensure the best solution is considered and identified by designing improved business processes and procedures to deliver project goals.
  • Do feasibility analysis for identified solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation (BRD, FSD, RTM, Change Logs) for business requirements and communicate with the business.
  • Good knowledge of ETL systems
  • Good working knowledge of Database/SQL
  • Good working knowledge of Reconciliation Domain
  • Oversee the delivery of pragmatic business and operational design solutions which maximise benefits while achieving the desired business outcomes.
  • Assess and design new business change processes, systems, products and services on new/change projects.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Plan Change: Consultation key stakeholders and/or a risk assessment workshop and develop risk-mitigating action plans in agreement with the Project Sponsor/Project Owner/Project Manager (PM). Ensure all governance, risk management, controls and compliance requirements are considered during the development of requirements and designs.

Manage Change: Develop and implement new business change processes, systems, products and services on a change project. Provide an aggregate high-level view of the combined proposed solutions and ensure alignment with the change solution. Manage interdependencies across projects/programmes and leverage synergies across projects/programmes to maximise return on investment. Review the to-be business process design to understand organisation/role impacts and create role descriptions for business process roles.

What we’re looking for:

Essential

  • A Bachelor degree in Finance, Commerce, Computer Science, Software Engineering or any related discipline.

Experience required:

Essential

  • Understand and working knowledge of any Reconciliation tool (like; IntelliMatch-Third-Party Reconciliation tool)
  • Should have good experience on SQL Server for data analysis
  • Previous knowledge of the Investment Banking domain specifically to different types of Reconciliation.
  • Communication Responsibilities.
  • Demonstrable experience of working to fixed business deadlines/constraints.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with/managing ambiguous/vague requirements.
  • Direct experience of working with Business Analysts and Testers.
  • Team and Task management experience.
  • Experience of working in Agile Mode.
  • Should have knowledge of Project Management and Service tools like Jira, TFS, Service Now, Perforce, etc.

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Understanding of tools such as ETL, Informatica is an added advantage
  • Hands-on with technology and development is a big plus.
  • Any Business Analysis certification CCBA or CBAP will be a big plus.
