Your role
A Walk-In-Interview/Test will be held on 13-12-2022 at CSIR-NML, Burmamines, Jamshedpur for selecting suitable candidates for engagement on a purely temporary basis as:
The tenure may be extended for the duration of the Project based on satisfactory performance. The total tenure as /Project Associate-I shall not exceed 5 years in any case.
The total tenure of five years shall be calculated as per periods spent on one Project and/or different Projects have taken together in CSIR-NML, and/or any other Lab./Instt. of CSIR as Project Associate-I or as any other designation of equal status.
The engagement of the Project Staff will be subject to the availability of the fund.
Tenure of appointment in CSIR-NML under one or more projects will be co-terminus with the tenure of the respective projects or attainment of 5 years of engagement whichever is earlier.
Salary & benefits
The monthly emoluments for this role will range from INR 25000/- to 31000/- per month plus HRA ( depending on the experience).

About you

Essential Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (or) Metallurgical Engineering
Project 1: Unveiling the abnormal grain growth mechanism in Grain-oriented silicon steel
B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy or M.Sc.in Chemistry /Industrial Chemistry/Applied Chemistry
Project 1: Technology development for extraction of critical metals from tin slag
Project 2: Development of a novel hydrometallurgical process for extraction of scandium from tin slag
Project 3: Technology Development for holistic utilization of red mud for extraction of metallic values and residue utilization
Note:
Candidates who have qualified for National Eligibility Tests-CSIRUGC NET including lectureship “(Assistant Professorship)’’ or GATE (Or)
Selected through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
