About Integrated Test Range (ITR)

Integrated Test Range (ITR), a well-equipped Test and Evaluation (T&E) centre of DRDO, is set up to provide safe and reliable launch facilities for the performance evaluation of rockets, missiles, and air-borne weapon systems. One of the most essential parts of the design evaluation of various flight vehicles is to precisely locate the flying objects from take-off to the point of impact through the entire trajectory along with measurement of various health parameters. Various high-performance Range Instrumentation Systems such as Electro-Optical Tracking Systems (EOTS), Radar Systems, Telemetry Systems, and Central Computer Systems are deployed and configured in real-time to provide necessary data (precise location and health parameters) of airborne targets throughout the entire course of the flight.

Your role

Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, a premier Laboratory of Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), invites applications from young and meritorious Indian nationals for the engagement of Graduate & Technician (Diploma) for a period of one year. 

Apprenticeship Training category :

• Graduate Apprenticeship
• Technician / (Diploma)  Apprentice 

Training, development & rotations

• The period of training will be 12 months commencing from the execution of the Contract of Apprenticeship. 
• Selected candidates have to submit the “Medical Fitness Certificate” at the time of joining. 
• The Selected candidates must execute a Contract for a period of 12 months of training as per provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961, and rules framed there under.

Salary & benefits

The monthly stipend payable will be:

• Graduate Apprenticeship: INR 9000/- per month
• Technician / (Diploma)  Apprentice: INR 8000/- per month

The apprentices will not be provided with any Govt. quarters/hostel accommodation/ transport by this establishment at the time of the Written/Interview and also during the training period.

To apply for this position, you must have the following eligibility criteria and general conditions :

Eligibility Criteria: 

• B.E/B.Tech/Diploma candidates must have registered their names at www.mhrdnats.gov.in. Non-registered candidates are likely to be rejected. 
• BBA/B.Com candidates must have registered their names at https://pertalbopter.com. 
• The candidates who have passed their B.E/B.Tech/Diploma/BBA/B.Com degree in the year 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 are eligible to apply. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination earlier than 2018 are not eligible. 
• Candidates with a postgraduate qualification are not eligible to apply. 
• Those candidates who have completed the qualifying examination as regular candidates are only eligible to apply. 
• B.E/B. Tech / Diploma/BBA/B.Com degree holders who had training or job experience for a period of one year or more after attaining the essential qualifications shall NOT be eligible for being engaged as an apprentice under the act.

Graduate Apprenticeship 

• B.E /B.Tech: In Engineering Branches ( click on the "learn more" button for details)
• B.Lib.Sc: Library science
• BBA: Business Administration 
• B.Com: Financial accounting, Financial management, Cost accounting

Technician / (Diploma)  Apprentice

• Diploma in Engineering branches ( click on the "learn more" button for details)
• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
• Diploma in Cinematography

Selection Criteria for Apprentice Trainee:
