Job Description

Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL) was established at Hyderabad in 1963 to meet the needs of complex materials for modern defence applications with a mission to develop advanced materials, innovative process technologies and related product engineering, supported by basic and applied research. The vision of DMRL is to be a center of excellence for providing total material solutions for Defence systems.

Essential Qualification

Metallurgy/ Material Science

• BE/B. Tech in Metallurgical Engineering/ Materials Science and Engineering in First Division and a valid GATE Qualified score in Metallurgical Engineering (Paper Code: MT (or) First Division in both M.E./ M. Tech. and B.E/B. Tech in Metallurgical Engineering/ Materials Science and Engineering Topics of M.E/M. Tech Thesis/Project should be only in the area of computational, extraction, processing- structure property of metals and their alloys.

Physics

• First Division in both M.Sc. in Physics and B.Sc in Physics along with a valid NET/GATE score

Chemistry

• First Division in both M.Sc. in Chemistry and B.Sc in Chemistry along with a valid NET/GATE score

Mechanical

• B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering with First Division with a valid GATE Qualified score in Mechanical Engineering (Paper Code: ME) (OR) First Division in both M.E./ M. Tech. and B.E/B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• Essential criteria: Working knowledge of finite element packages
