Applications are invited from the interested candidates for the following positions at DGRE, Chandigarh

1. Junior Research Fellow (Computer Science & Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology)

Essential Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in first division in Computer Science & Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology with NET/GATE  (OR)
• M.E/M.Tech (Computer Science/Computer Engineering) in first division both at Graduate and Post Graduate level. (OR)
• M.Sc (Computer Science/Information Technology) in first division with NET/GATE

Desirable

• Knowledge of Machine Learning/AI tools & techniques.
• Knowledge of image processing/GIS software, such as ERDAS, ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.
• Knowledge of Python, C++, MATLAB, Predictive modeling, etc.
• Experience in signal processing /Machine learning/Big data Analytics/Data Science

2. Junior Research Fellow (Physics/Geophysics)

Essential Qualification

• Post graduate Science degree in first division in Physics/Geophysics with NET/GATE

Desirable

• Knowledge of MATLAB/C++/Python.
• Working experience in AE signal analysis, failure prediction model/signal processing/Big data Analytics/Data Mining.

3. Junior Research Fellow (Atmospheric Science/Meteorology/Environmental Science)

Essential Qualification

• Post graduate Science degree in first division in Atmospheric Science/Meteorology/Environmental Science with NET/GATE (OR)
• M. Tech/M. Sc (Tech) in first division (both at Graduate and Post Graduate level) in Atmospheric Science/Meteorology/Environmental Science

Desirable

• Computer Knowledge in Excel Stat, various Software Packages, etc.

4. Junior Research Fellow (Remote Sensing/Geo-Informatics)

Essential Qualification

• Post Graduate Science Degree in first division in Remote Sensing/Geo-Informatics with NET/GATE (OR) ME or M.Tech in first division (both at Graduate and Post Graduate level) in Remote Sensing/Geo-Informatics. 

Desirable

• Good working knowledge about: Different Image Processing and GIS software like QGIS,ArcGIS, ENVI, ERDAS etc., Hyperspectral remote sensing data analysis. 
• Exposure to AI/ML based analysis and modeling.

5. Junior Research Fellow (Civil Engineering) 

Essential Qualification

• M.Tech in first division (both at Graduate and Post Graduate level) in Civil Engineering. (OR) BE / B.Tech with first division in Civil Engineering with NET/GATE.

 Desirable

• Knowledge of steel Structure Analysis / Design of micropile. Working experience of software (such as STAAD pro/ETAB ) or Finite Element Analysis Software (ANSYS/ABAQUS)

Selection Process

The selection through walk-in interview will be purely provisional and subject to verification of documents and original certificates. The candidature will be rejected if any mismatch/canvassing is noticed in details regarding qualification, discipline, percentage of marks or non-fulfillment of any specified criteria at the time of joining.

Duly filled complete application form with bio-data and one set of self-attested copies of Mark sheets/Certificates (10th onwards), Caste Certificate, Experience  certificates, publications, if, any addressed to The Director, Defence Geoinformatics Research Establishment (DGRE), Him Parisar, Sector 37A, Chandigarh (UT) should be brought at the time of Walk-in interview along with a recent passport size photograph, duly affixed on the application. The candidates working in Govt./Public Sector Undertaking/Autonomous Bodies should bring NOC from their employer at the time of walk-in-interview.

• Maximum age 28 years for JRF and relaxation in age for 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC as per Govt. Rules.
