Job Description
The Accountant is responsible for the overall oversight of accounting activities, financial reporting, statutory reporting, and internal control environment.
Working closely with Stakeholders in EMEA Region to ensure things are recorded with completeness and accuracy.
Working with the local FP&A team to ensure that revenues and costs are projected properly by US GAAP in budget and estimate submissions.
Support in review of the P&L and Balance Sheet to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Essential Job Functions
Month End Close Support, ensure all entries are done for Cost & Revenue to ensure the deadline is maintained as per the MEC schedule
Ensure all significant transactions are complete and correct, prepare accounting adjustment entries
Analyze P&L and Trial Balance for the month close and advise the GL team to post any GL entries
Review of Balance sheet account reconciliation and monitoring controls
Preparation of Consolidated TB submission file for the region and reviewing it for completeness and accuracy.
Preparation of Check Totals report.
Preparation of Entity Cash Flow submission file and resolve variances, as highlighted.
Completing the cash flow spreading within the MEC deadline.
Preparation of amortization and restructuring roll forward schedules
Preparation of quarter end/year end (10Q/10K) and submission to Corporate within the close deadline.
Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment
Manage audits conducted by internal/external auditors and coordinate peer-to-peer audits
Overview of the Balance Sheet reconciliation
Act as an individual contributor while providing guidance and accounting conclusions. Work as a team among the team members
Working knowledge of - SAP, BW, and BPC and proficient in MS Excel

About you
The requirements for the role are as follows:
Should be a Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant.
0 - 3 years of accounting or finance experience
Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with less experienced accountants and support personnel
Well organized with the ability to prioritize
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong presentation skills for educating internal clients on accounting principles
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
