Your role
As part of the role, your responsibilities include the following:
The Lab Instrument Informatics and Business Operations Support role provides support to the BRD scientist group, assisting with administrative support, access management and other non-laboratory-based activities that support analytical development, characterization, testing, and documentation.
The team supports the validation and deployment of new instrument systems, as well as upgrades, administration and troubleshooting for existing instrument software in analytical labs.
Job responsibilities include validation and support of standalone instrument systems, support in the creation/maintenance of critical documents, change controls, and influencing the design and development of new informatics tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with multiple IT groups, vendors and lab personnel to validate instrument systems software and maintain them through the entire system lifecycle.
Manage access rosters and software support for multiple lab instrument systems.
Assist in periodic reviews of access rosters, system audit trails, data backup effectiveness, etc.
Create and maintain templates, dashboards and tools to support business operations using MS Office products like Excel, Word, Sharepoint, Power BI and PowerApps
Compile and track data for control charting
Assist with data integrity reviews for data contained in scientific reports and tables.
Follow the local standards for documentation practices and record retention.
Follow all applicable procedures and guidance documents.
Generate process metrics as required.
Respond to all phone calls, instant messages, and emails regarding lab instrument validation and support process questions.
Notify the supervisor and/or escalate issues if appropriate data integrity processes are not followed.

About you
Skills that will help you succeed in this role:
Some familiarity with laboratory techniques and analytical testing.
Willingness to learn administration and support of multiple different lab instrument applications
Proficiency with or willing to learn existing Microsoft products and platforms, including Excel, Word, Sharepoint, OneNote, PowerBI, and Powerapps.
Familiarity with or willingness to learn computer system validation processes
Ability to summarize technical information, including data, into a written format
Excellent communication, coordination and project management skills: the candidate will work directly with people from the lab, IT and QA areas
Organizational skills: the candidate will handle multiple tasks daily and track to ensure tasks are completed.
Ability to work well independently and with geographically dispersed teams and partners
Educational Requirements:
B.S. or M.S in Computer Science/ IT/ Biotechnology
