About the Role 

What you’ll do: 

1. New Product Launches: Product Development & Launch

  • Defining Product Requirements (Specs & Target Costs that meet customer needs, competitive product popularity, and affordable pricing) that the Sourcing Team would use for Product Development with Global Suppliers
  • Structuring the Annual product launch pipeline plans based on Sales AOPs, Category & Customer needs, and product trends
  • Collaborating with the Sourcing, Quality & Finance teams to ensure timely Product development, Quality testing, Production, and Logistics delivery to Flipkart Warehouses for new product launches

2. Product Portfolio Management: Sales, P&L, Marketing, and Inventory Replenishment

  • Developing the Portfolio Sales AOPs across Categories based on overall Flipkart sales projections, planned target share of category sales, and new product launch plans
  • Managing Sales, P&L, Visibility, Marketing, Category Share, Inventory Availability and New Product Development across a large portfolio of Categories

3. Team Management

  • Managing a cross-functional team of individuals from various teams such as Marketing, Sourcing, Quality, Operations and aftersales, etc. that own product launches from their respective functional areas.

What you’ll need:

  • Prior experience in Brand Management would be an added advantage 
  • Strong project management/organizational skills 
  • Strong analytical orientation/bent of mind and customer understanding 
  • Ability to translate strategies into execution plans and take them to completion 
  • Must be willing to learn & develop an eCommerce way of thinking 
  • Strong program management skills, multi-tasking ability & interpersonal communication - ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams on fragmented workstreams 
  • Strong bias for Action - Flipkart works at a very rapid pace
  • Product Portfolio Management experience on Sales, P&L, and Inventory Availability
  • Project Management experience
  • Understanding of customer segmentation and customer needs
  • Marketing Experience would be required
