Overview
Research Analysts support the production of high quality syndicated market intelligence deliverables that contribute to Frost & Sullivan Research Practices and Programs. Analysts provide quantitative and qualitative data and analysis to support the delivery of GPS products and services. These products and services are used to assist clients in monitoring the competitive environment, understanding industry trends, and identifying growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
Supports Industry Analysts (IA) and Industry Principal (IP) on GPS syndicated deliverables and client inquiries. Activities required for production include but are not limited to:
- Conducts secondary research by collecting market and financial data on the internet and from other secondary sources
- Participates in the identification of key market participants in specified sectors and establishes contacts for interviews
- Participates in client meetings to collect project information
- Participates in interviews to collect data used for deliverables
- Transcribes interviews by recording interviews using digital recording software then documenting the interview in personal notes
- Supports the identification and quantification of impacts of market drivers, restraints, and challenges over a pre-determined period
- Tracks quantitative market information using mathematical and statistical functions
- Supports market forecasting and trend analysis consistent with corporate templates and forecasting models
- Prepares ongoing compilation of market data and support for IAs/IPs to leverage in GPS/BDS/GC research activities
- Supports the identification of growth opportunities, competitive environment, market strategies, and trends in both written and Xls formats
- Submits Best Practices company nominations

Relation to Other Positions
- Works within a program with team members from various sectors on a project to project basis
- Communicates frequently with Industry Analysts (IAs) and Industry Principal Analysts (IPs) regarding GPS deliverable support, client inquiries, and other research activities.
- Consistent interaction with assigned Program Leader to coordinate support on various deliverables
Supervision
- Reports to Program Leader or Industry Principal
- No supervision of other employees

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, or industry-related discipline
- Master’s Degree in Business or industry-related discipline advantageous
Experience
- Experience conducting research preferred
- Experience performing work in specified industry is preferred
- Experience with Xls modelling and professional writing preferred
