Gartner consulting is looking for an Associate Consultant that performs Data Engineering and Data Analysis on Gartner Benchmarking data, establishing a robust data curation and validation process, performing statistical analysis and data exploration, supporting both Research and Consulting business units serving the world’s largest organizations leaders.
What You’ll Do
- Work as a Data Engineer and Data Analyst to automate and deliver high-quality analytics about Digital and IT financial performances.
- Validate and enrich submitted data from clients ensuring consistency and quality
- Analyze data and detect outliers and other anomalies that could compromise the quality
- Provide regular reporting and publishing of consolidated data to Research and Consulting Business Units
- Support the maintenance of all meta-data related to the benchmarking model, identifying opportunities for improvements
- Manage the requests for information and clarifications about the benchmarking models and data sets.
- Work on consulting engagements for some of the world’s largest enterprises on their mission-critical priorities including development of a strategy for a large enterprise to shape their digital roadmap, helping businesses to leapfrog ahead using breakthrough technologies
- Understand the client industry issues, exhibit problem-solving ability, and develop insight and recommendations based on in-depth research on relevant topics.
- Prepare high-quality output in the form of a presentation deck, communicate results by using hypothesis testing, storyboarding, and data visualization techniques.
- Use independent judgment in preparing output and seek guidance from experienced consultants in the team.
- Demonstrate an inquisitive mindset, ability to think through the problem statement and the proposed solution, and ability to ask the right questions to the client and the engagement manager.
- Work with a globally distributed team of consultants on different client engagements and intellectual property development across multiple industry and technology domains
What You’ll Need
- Software Engineering or Data Science degree background or equivalent subject matter of study
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an IT/Business/Consulting environment or equivalent data-heavy environment
- Passion and knowledge for the IT industry and Digital transformation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel including Power Query
- Data modeling (OLAP) practical experience
- Proficiency in PowerBI and other Power Platform / Azure Data tools are highly desirable
- Strong ability to design and build Data Visualization leveraging Power BI and PowerPoint
- Python/R coding skills can be considered a plus
- Strong organizational skills within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Passionate about technology – tracks latest trends and potential use of technology to solve complex business problems, with a deeper understanding of core technologies and how to use them to build digital platforms
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a global environment where one has to collaborate with cross border teams continuously and work as a team
