About this role
Associate will be responsible for researching and understanding the product functionality of technology vendors and gauge quality of vendor’s capabilities before approving them on GDM’s platform. Vendor’ approval should be in line with Gartner’s guidelines. The person will also be responsible for conducting secondary research to identify software by different vendors and relevant Point of Contacts for GDM’s sales team to pursue.
What you’ll do
- The role requires a good mix of secondary research, fair understanding of technology products and synthesize vendor’s capabilities to create an adequate profile on GDM platform. Including:
- Vetting global vendors following Gartner’s guidelines and decide to add a vendor on Gartner Digital Market’s Catalog (Capterra.com, Softwareadvice.com, Getapp.com) and on the CRM tool
- Identification of a product that works on B2B model and categorize in hardware/software/services segment
- Synthesize vendor’s capabilities to logically categorize them in sub-industries within IT sector
- Validating vendor’s information, accurately identifying vendor’s capabilities, and capturing key insights
- Identifying relevant Point of Contacts for fit vendors for Sales team to pursue
- Quality Check the Leads:
- Identifying most relevant leads for sales team to pursue to sell Gartner Digital Markets products.
- Validate lead identification for PPL process. This requires searching for information about the reviewer online e.g., LinkedIn, or looking for the website for the company they said they're with.
- Conducting secondary research to identify different software’ by different vendors, along with their relevant POCs.
What you’ll need
- Secondary Research skills to identify the vendors, their product’s offering and their relevant POCs
- Highly proficient with web research
- Basic understanding of technology and software.
- Basic understanding of excel. Power BI/SQL knowledge is a differentiator
- Good communication skills – both Written and Oral
- Master’s degree is required, Advanced degree is a plus
- Experience on using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, etc. is a plus
