Job description summary

Responsible for developing data engineering jobs and workflows that enable data analytics and reporting solutions based on the given design and architecture. Responsible for executing and delivering the results using agile methodologies. Also responsible for providing post-deployment support when needed.

Roles and responsibilities

• Responsible for the requirements, development, testing, and implementation of data engineering solutions, including data modeling, data quality, and semantic/metadata development.
• Architect, Design, Build & Support Archiving Solutions in GE Gas Power DT Data Lake eco-system
• Solution to be built considering cost, maintenance, the end-state vision of Gas Power Data Lake, scalable, using cloud-native technologies & considering ease of user access
• Maintains data architectural artifacts and ensures that all measures for data quality, data profiling, data governance, ITIL, security, and compliance of data are adhered to.
• Designs, profiles, develops and tests data engineering solutions using multiple ETL /MDM tools that move data from disparate source/target systems and the enterprise information repositories.
• Perform a variety of in-depth data analysis, data modeling, and data design tasks on datasets.
• Provide Operational support for the data warehousing applications, including quarantine maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring, and resolving bugs and production issues promptly.
• Proficient in SQL and ETL processes, ETL and DB performance tuning, table partitioning, and shell scripting.
• Works with Product Owners, and Business SMEs to identify requirements and drive ingestion standards consistent with business processes.
