Job description summary

• The candidate shall be able to do Basic and Detail design of cable Tray layout for Powerhouse area, Pothead yard, Switchyard layout & DG layout. Active participation in the basic design and detail design activities.
• Standardization and methodology aspects layout activity, E3D/PDMS Auto cad, and preparation of BOM activity.
• Functional reporting to your Layout COE leader and operationally to the System Integrator
• A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer-facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between the customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.
• May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
• EHS: - Implementation of EHS policy & procedures of GE for the design aspect.

Job description

Below activities shall be performed within the stipulated time frame for basic & detailed layout engineering.

• Design of Cable trays Layout for various type of hydro power plant using E3D & AutoCAD software.
• Cable tray network Modelling, Cable Tray Support modeling, Electrical equipment Modelling in E3D.
• Generate General arrangement drawings for cable Tray layout & erection drawing & Trench layout. for the Power House/Pothead yard / Switchyard layout & detailing
• Knowledge of Cable Sizing & Cable Schedule & Distribution Board Schedule.
• Allotted work to be performed as  per the defined schedule and budgeted manhours.
• To review customer civil structural design drawings, civil construction drawings.
• To review various vendor equipment drawings for layout interfaces & requirements.
• Review of various interfaces with internal/external client for various inrequirementsface requirements & keep the record.
• Generate clash check report from E3D & resolve if any interference found.
• Knowledge of Earthing & Lighting layouts.
• Prepare Bill of material for various cable trays, cable tray supports & release in PLM tool skills
• Good communication skill in English with written & verbal.
• Should involve in process improvement & project cost-out activities.
