Your role

You will be part of the Regulatory Capital and Reporting Review Group (RCRG). It is an independent review function established in accordance with the Basel Coordination Committee 13-3 “Guidance for Independent Verification of a Banking Organization’s Advanced Approaches System”; therefore, the Firm’s senior management requires a rigorous internal control framework that includes an independent review and verification function. The purpose of the independent verification is to challenge processes that materially impact regulatory capital computations and ensure all internal systems supporting rule compliance are properly designed, documented and implemented.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of the firm’s regulatory capital reporting framework, regulatory capital rules and controls supporting the reporting process and systems
  • Conduct independent reviews of regulatory capital exposures including verification of rule application, data accuracy/ aggregation and reporting compliance 
  • Provide effective challenge of stakeholder process(es) and outcomes
  • Liaise across the relevant business, and technology to prioritize risks, challenge decisions, assumptions and drive appropriate risk response
  • Develop and maintain effective and constructive stakeholder relationships
  • Raise action items and independently validate remediation plans

About You

Skills:

  • Chartered Accountants/ CFA/ equivalent degree.
  • Articleship from audit firms with exposure in the Financial Services sector is preferred.
  • Proactive, strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills
  • Attention to detail and possesses strong analytical & organizational skills
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency/ multi-tasking skills
