Your role

HPCL - Visakh Refinery proposes to engage Graduate Apprentice Trainees in the following fields:

• Engineering - Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Safety Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Oil Technology, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, and Petroleum Engineering,

Name of the post: Graduate Apprentice Engineer

Training, development & rotations

• The engagement as Apprentice trainees will be for a period of ONE YEAR only.
• The engagement of apprentices will be governed by the Apprentice Act,1961/Apprentices Amendment Act,1973, and the rules thereof.
• The apprentices will be placed for training at Visakhapatnam.

Salary & benefits

• The candidates selected as Graduate Apprentice Trainees shall be paid a monthly stipend of INR 25,000/- ( Source: HPCL).
• Reimbursement of 2nd class rail fare by the shortest route for the interview is admissible to outstation SC, ST, and PwBD candidates appearing for the interview.

Career progression

• HPCL does not give any commitment/assurance on providing permanent/temporary employment to apprentices on successful completion of the apprenticeship period.
• The Apprentices who would successfully complete the period of apprenticeship training in the corporation would be accorded relaxation/preference in the Recruitment norms. Such relaxation would be accorded in two stages.

About you

To apply for this role you need to have the following eligibility criteria:

Qualification Criterion:

Engineering graduation only in:

• Mechanical Engineering,  Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Safety Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Oil Technology, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Petroleum Engineering
• With 60% aggregate marks of all semesters/ years for Gen/ OBC-NC and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD/(VH/HH/OH*) candidates. 
• Engineers Graduated who have completed Engineering Graduation after 01-04-2020 onwards are eligible to apply. Candidates who passed out prior to 01-04-2020 are not eligible for apprenticeship training.
• Candidates who have already applied for HPCL-Visakh Refinery on the NATS portal in the past 3 months, as of 07-01-2023 will be considered.

Age limit:

• Min age – 18 yrs and Max age – 25 yrs. As on commencement of online application (07- 01-2023. ( Relaxation applies)
