Your responsibilities
- As a Commissioning Engineer for Substation Automation Business you will be reporting to the Commissioning Manager and will be responsible for executing medium to high complex service jobs and projects with Hitachi Energy India standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
- Perform medium to high complex service tasks for 800x A-based Power Management System (PMS) system like installation, commissioning, maintenance, upgrades and retrofits, repairs and identify the technical problems and make analysis through remote or on-site activity in different service categories.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer order and expectation. Maintain good relationship with customers and understands their needs, identify new sales opportunities, and influence in convincing the client for the complete service portfolio.
- Coordinate, prepare and ensure all materials, parts, and equipment are available at the appropriate quality for service activities. Prepare all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative. Ensure to report the progress of work done in a timely manner and follow up when required.
- Proactively identify potential equipment failures and take corrective actions. Troubleshoot complex equipment failure and make recommendations to avoid the occurrence in the future.
- Identify and provide suggestions for product, quality, and the significance of customer service and discuss with the management for making required changes.
- Ensure that the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices are followed and eliminate unsafe practices and incidents.
Your background
- Should have Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of industry experience in oil and gas, power, or Aluminum industry.
- Strong experience in system 800xA based Power Management system (PMS) with Integration of IEC61850 Devices, application development with PMS specific libraries - project and commissioning.
- Experience in 800xA (both hardware and software) and working knowledge or skillset in industrial communication protocols like IEC104, Modbus- RTU, and Micro Scada.
- Good experience in Industrial networking, network switch configuration, Cyber security for 800x A-based system.
- Candidate must be willing to travel across the country (70 – 80 %)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence both internally and externally.
