The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision, and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in the Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Your responsibilities

• Design the Telecommunication cabinets (consisting of Fiber optic equipment, PLCC, PABX, and Microwave radios) based on input provided.
• Preparation of project-specific Design file, BOM, Manufacturing document, Cable list, Cable/Terminal labels, Customer documentation, and As-built.
• Ensure efficiency and quality of deliverables by Design engineering.
• Designing telecommunication cabinets by using tools E3/AutoCAD.

Your background

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics / Telecommunications with a focus on telecommunication equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years+ of experience in the relevant fields.
• Proficient in E3.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good problem-solving skills, Quality minded and cooperative Team player.
• Interest in working in an international and multicultural environment.
