Your role

IIT Bhubaneswar is looking for PhD students who are willing to carry out advanced research in the fields of Basic Sciences; Earth, Ocean & Climate Sciences; Electrical Sciences; Infrastructure; Mechanical Sciences; Humanities, and Social Sciences & Management to join their research teams.

You will join the team as a Post Doctoral Fellow and work to participate in the teaching and research activities of the Institute including mentoring young undergraduates and post-graduate students.

• The Fellow shall also carry out any other assignments related to academics as given by the Institute.
• This is purely a temporary time-bound position, and must not be considered in any way as a permanent cadre of the Institute.
• The fellowship is offered initially for one (1) year and may be extended for another year based on a review of the contributions made by the Fellow.

Salary & benefits

Up to INR 45,000 - 55,000 p.m. + HRA (depending upon the experience and qualification of the candidate)

Culture & vibe

Alma Fiesta, the annual socio-cultural fest of IIT Bhubaneswar will be conducted on a virtual platform for four days. Alma Fiesta, the four-day fest in virtual mode includes events comprising dance, music, dramatics, fine arts, literary, technical workshops, women oriented panel discussions on the social theme (STEM from women).

Celebrations are the most extravagant on the IITB campus. Along with different academic, cultural, and sports fests, such as Teachers Day, Eureka, Traditional Day, etc add colour to the life on campus at IITB. Celebrations also unite students, faculty, and staff to exchange thoughts and minimize the student-teacher hierarchy.

About you

• There should be a consistently good academic record followed by a PhD degree in the relevant fields of Engineering/Science/Humanities.
• Only those candidates, who have received the Ph. D. degree within the past two years, will be considered.
• Age: Candidates preferably below 35 years.
