Your role

The Centre for Behavioral Science is the first of its kind in any management institution in the region, with a Laboratory for envisaging various topics in Economics, Finance, and Marketing domains. The Centre conducts experiments and research to generate meaningful decision-making insights for industries, as well as to help shape better policies and improve services. Research is conducted in state-of-the-art laboratories.

Research Associate for NSE Centre for Behavioral Science in:

• Economics, Finance, and Marketing.

Job / Role Description: Research and consultation responsibilities

• Conceptualize and draft research papers in the areas mentioned above for publication, in coordination with faculties,
• Assist faculties with their research experiments,
• Administration of recruitment of participants for experiments,
• Organizational support for running experiments,
• Administrative support for the faculty members of CBS

Training, development & rotation 

The selected candidate will be working from the IIM Ahmedabad campus. IIMA provides access to the library and computer center for all Research Assistants.

• The appointment is initially for 12 months with a potential for extension based on performance. 

Salary & benefits

Compensation will be commensurate with the qualification and experience. The average annual salary for this role will range from INR 2.5 to 3.5 LPA (Source: AmbitionBox).

Qualifications:

• Applicants who have completed a Master’s or are currently enrolled in a Master’s or Bachelor's program (graduating class of 2023 ) from a recognized Institute or University

Skillset / Preferred:

• Pursuing a degree in an analytical or human insights-focused field, including Economics, Psychology, Marketing, Engineering, Cognitive Neuroscience,
• Information Systems, Social Sciences, Business, Relations, Finance, or Computer Science
• Passion for understanding financial markets, consumer behavior, data analytics, and market research. Experience in data collection.
• Demonstrated ability to connect research formulation with reality.
• Enthusiastic in learning about and applying innovative technology to drive business solutions.
• Project management skills and ability to work on diverse projects.
• Effective communication skills, the skill to write and design new project proposals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Enthusiastic about social media with an understanding of platforms.
• Know-how related to instruments like EEG, Eye Tracker, fMRI, and GSR will be preferred.
