IIT Bhilai is presently housed in its transit campus at Government Engineering College (GEC) Raipur, Chhattisgarh. IIT Bhilai offers Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Master of Technology (MTech), Master of Science (MSc), and Doctoral programs (PhD) in various departments. The Institute made its modest start with the introduction of the BTech program in August 2016. IIT Bhilai aspires to play a significant role in national growth. Your role

Applications are invited for the various positions as Project Assistants (purely contractual appointments) for the CIF unit for one year. The contract may be extended based on the needs of the Institute and the performance of a candidate. 

Duties and responsibilities:

• To support daily/routine maintenance of Central instrumentation facility/Lab Equipment and to support purchase processes

Salary & benefits

Project Assistant:

• Up to INR 28,000 – 41,000 per month.

Culture & vibe

IIT Bhilai and IIT Bhilai Innovation and Technology Foundation (IBITF) host a 2-Day Hackathon event. About you

To apply for these positions, you must have the following eligibility criteria:

Essential Qualification:

• Scientific/ Technical/ Engineering:
  • Science Graduate/Diploma in Engineering of three years duration
  • Minimum TWO years of experience in the relevant area   (OR)
  • Engineering Graduate/MSc/ Equivalent
  • Upper Age Limit 35 Years (as on closing date of application)

Desirable qualification:

• Experience working in a research/ science/engineering lab or unit of a reputed govt institute will be highly preferred.

Duration: 

• One year 
• The contract may be extended based on the needs of the Institute and the performance of a candidate.
