Job Description

Robotics at IIT Gandhinagar is a fast growing group with multiple exciting projects with applications in defense and space. These projects involve modeling, simulations, development of the hardware prototypes, and experimental testing.

The candidates are expected to have strong interests and some prior foundation in electric motor/actuators, controls, robotics, or relevant embedded systems, or in modeling and simulations in controls. Some prior expertise in building robot hardware will be helpful. Familiarity with ROS, Python, C, Matlab, or LabVIEW will be a plus.

The successful candidates are also expected to bring a positive and enthusiastic attitude to the lab and work collaboratively with several other lab members. Open-mindedness and a willingness to learn new hardware, software, and theory skills as the project demands is a must.

The successful candidates should be proficient in written and verbal communication, which is necessary to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and present and explain the technical information.

Tenure

• 6 months to 1 year depending on experience, with a possibility of renewal based on performance, project requirements, and availability of funding.

Qualifications

Junior Research Fellow

• B.Tech / B.E / M.Tech / M.E. in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering or allied areas with specialization / experience in either robotics or control systems from a reputed institute or university.

Project Assistant

• B.Tech / B.E in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering or allied areas with specialization / experience in either robotics or control systems from a reputed institute or university.
