Your role

IIT Kanpur's Humanities and Social Sciences department is looking for Ph.D. students to join their research teams.

You will join the team as a Project Post-Doctoral Fellow and work on a project entitled"Just Transition Research Centre".

Duties and responsibilities:

Planning and execution of fieldwork, traveling to field sites and interacting with stakeholders, writing project reports and academic publications, handling quantitative and/or qualitative data, organizing the workshop with stakeholders, and other related work assigned by the reporting authority.

Salary & benefits

Salary Ranges from INR 60,000/65,000/70,000 (Consolidated Salary) per month, depending upon qualifications & experience.

About you

To apply for this position, you must:

• Have a Ph.D. in environmental/energy economics, environmental sociology, climate studies, energy policy, environmental studies, (or)
• Allied subjects related to climate and energy policy research.
• Ph.D. with at least two published articles in SCI/SSCI/Scopus-indexed journals.

To be an attractive candidate, you should have knowledge and research experience in one or more of the relevant areas.

• Primary and secondary data collection and analysis, fieldwork in the power plant or coal mines, interdisciplinary research and working with the team, statistical analysis with SPSS/Python/R, and qualitative analysis using MAXQDA/ ATLAS.ti/NVivo/ Dedoose.
