IIT Kharagpur's Biotechnology department is looking for B.Tech / B.E. students to join their research teams.

You will join the team as a Junior Research Fellow and work on a project involving the Enhanced Lipid Production by Genetically Engineered Algal Strain : Scale up Cultivation and Engineering for Co-Production of Value-added Compounds - DBT PAN IIT Center for Bioenergy : Phase II(ELP)

About you

To apply for this position, you must:

• ​Have B.Tech/B.E in Biotechnology/Biochemical Engineering/ Bioprocess Engineering/Chemical Engineering with valid NET/GATE
• Candidate with M.Tech/M.E. degree in these mentioned disciplines, if willing to join the JRF position, may be preferred.
• Candidate should have First Division/Class throughout, i.e. in all the examinations starting from 10th standard onwards.
• Be no more than 28 years old when you apply

To be an attractive candidate, you should have knowledge and research experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Hands-on research experience in the area of cultivation of algal biomass in photobioreactors and its downstream processing through internship/project/dissertation.
