Your role

IIT Kharagpur's Electrical Engineering department is looking for BE/B.Tech/ME/MTech students to join their research teams.

You will join the team as a Junior Research Fellow and work on a project involving - "The Centre of Excellence on Energy Aware Urban Infrastructure(EEA)".

About you

Qualifications:

Fulfilling the following two criteria is mandatory for getting shortlisted for this JRF position: 

• BE/BTech with valid GATE Score in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent having ‘Power Electronics’ as one of the core subjects (OR) BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent along with ME/MTech in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with specialization, ‘Power Electronics and/or Machine drives’ or equivalent.
• First class from 10th standard onwards (60% or 6.5 CGPA) Note: GATE qualification is not mandatory for ME/MTech qualified candidates.

Relevant Experience:

The following are desired but not mandatory:

• ME/MTech with specialization, ‘Power Electronics and/or Machine drives’ or equivalent
• Power Electronic converter hardware development and testing for solar photovoltaic system
• Embedded coding preferably for Power Electronic converter systems
• PCB design, fabrication, and testing

Age Limit (Year):

• The upper age limit is 28 years.
• Relaxable up to 5 years in the case of SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped / Visually Handicapped and female applicants.
