About Indian Space Research Organisation

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is the space agency of India. The organization is involved in science, engineering, and technology to harvest the benefits of outer space for India and mankind. ISRO is a major constituent of the Department of Space (DOS), Government of India. The department executes the Indian Space Program primarily through various Centres or units within ISRO.

Your role

Online applications are invited from meritorious candidates for the following vacancies in Level 4 of Pay Matrix at constituent ISRO Centres and in Autonomous Bodies, as detailed below:

Name of the posts:

  • Assistant (Rajbhasha)

Nature of job:

  • Hindi Typing, Drafting of letters and notes, Organising various training programmes and functions, Maintenance of files, Recordkeeping, Preparation of Roster, and Entry in Registers.

Training, development & rotations

The training programme is aimed at introducing the newly recruited employees to the ISRO systems by providing necessary exposure to the ISRO programme. It's known as the ISRO induction training program (IITP). It's a 2–3 months training, spread over different modules and conducted in different centers of ISRO.

Salary & benefits

Selected candidates will be appointed as Assistants in Level 4 of the Pay Matrix and will be paid minimum basic pay of INR.39,270 /- p.m. (Source: ISRO)

About you

To apply for this role you must have the following eligibility criteria:

  • Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale as declared by any recognized University. The candidate should have completed Graduation within the duration of the course as prescribed by the University.
  • Hindi Typewriting speed at 25 words per minute on computer.
  • Proficiency in the use of Computers.
  • Knowledge of English Typewriting.
  • Age Limit: 28 years (Relaxation applies)

  • The selection process consists of (1) written test and (2) skill test. The written test will be of objective type of 120 minutes duration and short-listing will be done based on the written test scores and required number of candidates (in the ratio 1:5 [maximum] with an aggregate minimum of 10 candidates) alone shall be called for skill test.
