Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is the space agency of India. The organization is involved in science, engineering, and technology to harvest the benefits of outer space for India and mankind. ISRO is a major constituent of the Department of Space (DOS), Government of India. The department executes the Indian Space Program primarily through various Centres or units within ISRO.
Space Applications Centre (SAC), Ahmedabad, ISRO is looking forward to engaging bright candidates with the scientific aptitude to work as Research Fellows in multi-disciplinary fields and project activities related to Natural Resources, Environment, Ocean, Atmosphere, Studies related to Planetary Sciences and Microelectronics/VLSI.
JRFs have to work on land, ocean, and atmosphere applications of remote sensing for monitoring, modeling, and management of natural resources. In addition, research opportunities can be given in planetary sciences and web-based services.
Junior Research Fellows will be engaged initially for ONE YEAR and is extendable for further periods based on an assessment of their work and the requirement of the project. The maximum period of engagement of a Junior Research Fellow shall not exceed FIVE years.
The selected JRFs are encouraged to register for Ph.D. from recognized Universities and take up relevant research topics benefitting the individual and SAC. However, they have to work extra time to complete the Ph.D. research for which any leave will not be granted separately.

Yuva Vigyani Karyakram or "Young Scientist Programme" is a sponsored programme organized by ISRO for School Children to impart basic knowledge on Space Technology, Space Science, and Space Applications to younger students with a preference for rural areas. The programme is aimed at creating awareness about the emerging trends in science and technology amongst youngsters, who are the future building blocks of the nation.

M.Tech with First class with a minimum of 60% marks (aggregate of all semesters) or CGPA grading of 6.5 on a 10 Point scale or M.Sc. with First class with a minimum of 65% marks (aggregate of all semesters) or CGPA grading of 6.84 on a 10 Point scale.
