Infilect, a leader in visual intelligence for worldwide retail, is looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial full stack engineers, with expertise in building and deploying full stack applications (either React + Python, or full JS (React + Node, etc.))

Towards this goal, Infilect innovates on and offers state-of-the-art cloud and AI applications to the worldwide retail industry. Infilect systems process images and videos at scale and in real-time to solve retail supply-chain problems and make an environmentally sustainable net-positive impact on the world. Our B2B enterprise SaaS products are used by global customers such as P&G, Lowe’s, Samsung. We are about 3y old in our journey of building B2B enterprise products. We raised our pre-series A funds of USD1.5M in September 2020. We are already in the market to raise our Series A.

We rely on our dynamic team of engineers to solve the many challenges and puzzles that come with our rapidly evolving technical stack. We’re seeking a full stack engineer who is ready to work with new technologies and architectures in a forward-thinking organization that’s always pushing boundaries. Here, you will take complete, end-to-end ownership of projects across the entire stack.

Our ideal candidate has experience building products across the stack and a firm understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back end languages. You’ll be joining a small team working at the forefront of new technology, solving the challenges that impact both the front end and back end architecture, and ultimately, deliver amazing global user experiences.

Objectives of this Role

• Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth
• Develop new features and infrastructure development in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements
• Assume leadership of new projects from conceptualization to deployment
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design
• Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deployment
• Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale
• Work primarily in Ruby, Java/JRuby, React, and JavaScript
• Engage with inspiring designers and front end engineers, and collaborate with leading back end engineers as we create reliable APIs
• Collaborate across time zones via Slack, GitHub comments, documents, and frequent video conferences

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering
• 1+ years of experience building large-scale software applications
• Experience building web applications
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of Ruby, Java/JRuby, React, and Javascript
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills
• Unit/integration testing experience

Joining details

● This position is based out of Bangalore, India.

● Amid COVID times and lockdowns, it is okay to join remotely and work remotely.

● However, we prefer on premise work as remote joining has not worked with us. We have observed remote-call fatigue, disconnect with the team, work-overload, information gaps while working remotely.

● We work in a fast-paced environment with strong cross-team collaboration. It helps to be in office with appropriate SOPs to stay on top of the product and engineering roadmap. This is of course only when the lockdown is fully lifted and only when SOPs are in place in office.

● Even then, we are discouraging work from office on all 5 days with only a couple of days of in-office work for the initial few months.

For the first 3 months on your joining, you may have to work as an Independent Contributor with a lot of hands-on work so that you collaborate with different team members, get to know people, processes, and systems in and out.We have a great work environment with an exceptional bunch of engineers and programmers.
