The Design Engineering Group (DEG), takes pride in developing the best-in-class SOCs, Cores, and IPs that power Intel’s products. From development to integration, validation, and manufacturing readiness, their mission is to deliver leadership products through the pursuit of Moore’s Law and groundbreaking innovations.  DEG is Intel’s engineering group, supplying silicon to business units as well as other engineering teams.  As a critical provider of all Intel products, DEG leadership has a responsibility to ensure the delivery of these products in a cost-efficient and effective manner.

About the internship:

  • This internship is for engineers looking for exposure to firmware verification.
  • This internship involves developing and enhancing pre-silicon functional validation infrastructure to verify complex Server SoC design.
  • Creates stimulus, configurations, and other verification components such as checkers, and bus functional models for validation and brings up simulation models, and path path-clearing bugs in the validation collaterals.
  • Work on the latest verification methodologies to create an SoC verification environment.

About you

Qualification:

  • Candidates perceiving a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering
  • IA Architecture, Embedded development environments.
  • System-level understanding of various embedded IPs, IOs, Interconnects, Memory subsystems, Active power management, ACPI fundamentals, etc.
  • Understanding of various communication protocols.
  • Systemic problem analysis.
  • Good at Assembly/C/C++/Shell/Python programming.
  • Excellent debugging skills.

This requires coursework in the following areas:

  • Fundamentals of Embedded System Development.
  • System Modelling, Regression, and Testing methodologies.
  • C/C++/Python/Ruby

Others:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to technical detail, problem-solving skills, and tolerance to ambiguity
