Applications are invited for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a Department of Science & Technology (DST) funded Indo-South Africa Joint project (DST/INT/South Africa/P-02/2021) entitled “Design, preparation and characterization of materials for tunable anomalous thermal expansion and anomalous compressibility" under the supervision of Dr. Dinabandhu Das, School of Physical Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University.
The applicant must have an M.Sc. degree in Chemistry (Organic /Inorganic) from UGC recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks. Candidate must qualify for CSIR-UGC NET/GATE. The candidate should have good analytical skills.
A candidate with experience in the synthesis of organic/inorganic compounds and knowledge of crystallography is highly desired.
The selected candidate will be appointed on a purely temporary basis, initially for one year and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years.
