Front-end engineers at Freshworks are responsible for implementing many of the client-side systems/code that generate the UIs our end-users will interact with.
They work closely with the backend and platform engineers, architects, designers and product managers to develop scalable and maintainable UI systems/features/components.
Role Description
Front-end engineers are responsible for developing UI components, widgets and templates that plug into content management systems for the consumption of product marketing users.
In this role, you’ll get familiar with the front-end ecosystem that the team works on and gain experience in implementing UI components and template engines that need to fit into a larger system and function effectively at scale.
Responsibility
Contribute towards building and maintaining a design system using Atomic design pattern Experienced in implementing and configuring CMS (Content Management System)
Optimize JavaScript implementations to ensure that code remains performant.
Implement front-end development workflows: build systems, dependency management, quality checkers (linting), etc.
Work closely with designers to understand expected behaviour and implement it effectively in the browser.
Develop UI prototypes for the website in compliance with conventions followed by the team.
Qualification
1+ years of hands-on experience building web applications with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 + SaSS/Less.
Comfortable with Responsive Web Design and Development.
Strong webpage design sensibilities and has an obsessive attention to detail.
Write testable, maintainable code that's easy to understand.
Understand complex problems and break them down into smaller tasks.
JS-DOM management, event management, state/data management, familiar with browser API’s, ability to implement basic interactivity between the front-end and back-end API or 3rd party services.
Templating: Nunjucks or Equivalent CSS pre-processors: SCSS, (BEM/SMACSS arch), CSS Animations, Micro-interactions Testing frameworks: Mocha, Chai, Jest, Puppeteer
