As Software Development Engineer - II(SDE-II) Frontend, you will lead Meesho towards becoming the preferred destination for groceries.

Our Farmiso team at Meesho interacts closely with all stakeholders to develop the right strategies to penetrate the grocery sector in tier-2, tier-3 cities. Our tasks include tracking vendor profiles, assortment relevance, fulfillment rates, customer profiles, buying patterns, and launching marketing campaigns.

About The Role

As the SuperStore team’s new SDE-II (Frontend) you will make sure that our product is delightful and enables seamless interaction. You will focus on solving the hard, technical challenges involved in making a desktop-grade web app and come up with ways to make this better and easier.

You will write highly reusable code, and constantly brainstorm ways to build better systems. Your work will reflect the principle that product intuition is as necessary as technical knowledge or familiarity with the best practices of Frontend engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Build user interfaces that are beautiful, consistent, and fast
• Ensure interfaces can thrive under heavy customization and varying use cases
• Build explorative interfaces to earn the trust of our customers through predictable, reliable, and thoughtful interactions
• Invent patterns and reusable components our team can assemble to build powerful software workflows
• Take sole ownership of your product(s)
• Keep a keen eye out for bugs, resolve them and make feature additions
• When needed, rewrite the whole product from scratch! (Don't make this a habit though.)
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimise and secure application for maximum speed and scalability

Technical Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in building and shipping products that people use every day
• Proficiency in Javascript, ReactJS, Redux, NodeJS, HTML, CSS
• Be familiar with Responsive Web Design, common Web UX patterns, and anti-patterns
• Be able to tell good design from bad design
• Be able to write clean, maintainable code which others can work on
• Have a mastery of DOM manipulation (including jQuery) and understand
• components, CTAs
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks and tools (expertise is a bonus).
• Significant hands-on experience in ES6
• Good architectural and design skills
• Knowledge of browser behavior, performance, compatibility, and cross-browser issues
• Ability to build strong codes, data structures, and algorithms
• Ability to work on advanced CSS, animations, and responsiveness
• Ability to own end-to-end responsibility – right from the requirement to release
• Ability to produce bug-free and production-grade code
• Be great at debugging, identifying page speed and performance bottleneck, etc., using Chrome Dev Tools, React Dev Tools, etc.
• Knowledge of LESS, SASS, Bootstrap, Express, etc., will be an added advantage
