Associate Manager – Advance Analytics & Data Science null

Position Overview

The candidate will work in close consultation with “Manager – Advance Analytics & Data Science” to develop, implement, and maintain the varying type of forecast models, business decision models and associated capabilities for different therapeutic areas. We are looking for driven individuals with the right mindset and quick learning capabilities to develop agreed-upon analytics frameworks within the scope outlined. Expertise in coding languages such as R/Python/VBA and advanced Excel is essential; while exposure to simulations, process automation, reporting and dashboarding capabilities, and pharmaceutical forecasting experience will be added advantage. 

Responsibilities

• Ability to frame data-driven analysis, machine learning/ deep learning methods to augment the business decision-making process and apply analytical concepts with minimal guidance
• Work closely with the business team to implement the analytics/ML-based methods to be aligned with the business requirements, the ability for critical thinking, and having a systematic and logical approach to problem-solving
• Work in HHIAD cross-functional environment to deliver on advanced new age technology and analytics requirements from business
• Actively contribute to all elements of analytics method development – concept notes & analytics design, concept user testing (UAT),  presentation and solution rollout
• Continuously innovate and evolve existing offerings to improve performance and quality of deliverables
• Ensure seamless integration of emerging ML/DL based methods with available database structures and intuitive presentation/reporting capabilities
• Actively encourage using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources and perform technical writing and documentation of the modules/codes developed

• Actively take up an analysis of therapy area & geographical trends that impact both the organization and the industry based on a manual or automated approach
• Contribute to various automation efforts to drive efficiency gains within the GCAF team

Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer science, statistics, econometrics, analytics, or a related field or Bachelor of Technology/Pharmacy with PG in advance analytics, business analytics, data science, machine learning or a related field
• 0-3 years experience working with Life Sciences companies in forecasting, advance analytics, business analytics, marketing analytics and/or data analytics functions within Commercial or Finance
• Strong analytical acumen to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data and connect with business needs
• Basic skills in statistics and statistical packages in MS Excel, Python/R to be used for exploratory analysis and apply the accurate algorithms to datasets to find solutions
• Exposure to various analytical tools and programming languages (Python, R, VBA, SQL) and/or business intelligence platforms (Qliksense/Spotfire/Tableau /MS PowerBI) is desired
• Working knowledge of academic supervised/unsupervised machine learning/deep learning projects (clustering, regression, classification, time series analysis), cloud-based deployment (AWS Sagemaker, Azure ML), end-to-end pharmaceutical forecasting/analytics projects is desired
• Hands-on experience with at least one database (SQL/NoSQL) and cloud technology (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) will be a plus
• Working knowledge of cloud/platform-based analytics (Dataiku, Alteryx or Data robot), simulation development, end-to-end pharmaceutical forecasting/analytics projects is a plus
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to deliver working individually or in teams
• Good working knowledge of technical review and implementing industry-standard best practices regarding the development/maintenance of coding modules.
