MyGov has been established as the Government of India’s Citizen Engagement Platform which collaborates with multiple Government bodies/Ministries to engage with citizens for policy formulation and seeks the opinion of people on issues/ topics of public interest and welfare.
Since its launch on 26th July 2014, by Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, MyGov has more than 24.5 million registered users. Almost all Government Departments leverage the MyGov platform for their citizen engagement activities, consultations for policy formulation, and also to the dissemination of information to citizens for various Government schemes and programs.
Your role
MyGov is looking for Social Media Analysts at Young professionals or Associate level to join their team and will be required to measure the effectiveness of social media campaigns, monitor trends in social media and emerging trends/best practices, and provide effective recommendations
Responsibilities include:
Research conversations across social media platforms and analyze trends. An ideal candidate should have proven skills in out-of-box thinking and an eye for detail.
Ultimately, you'll be required to design campaigns around key public policy initiatives that can be used across MyGov platforms, with a special focus on those that would appeal to citizens, and will help drive citizen engagement.
You will be under probation for the first 3 months from the date of joining.
MyGov doesn't need to absorb you or offer you a regular contract after the completion of the probation period.
The period of probation can be reduced or increased by MyGov and shall be solely based on your performance.
Measure the effectiveness of social media campaigns
Monitor trends in social media and emerging trends/best practices and provide effective recommendations
Research conversations across social media platforms and analyze trends
Generate reports based on social media tools regularly
Training, development & rotations
MyGov is primarily created for Government departments and institutions to pursue their citizen engagement initiatives. Institutions can form or create interest groups based on various causes and initiatives taken in each sector of the government.
Within each group, discussions on relevant and significant topics can be initiated. The discussions can help government institutions understand the viewpoints of citizens and gather feedback on policy issues.
Citizens can be involved in online and on-ground tasks through the platform such as writing research documents, concept notes, field reports, taking photographs/videos, compiling policy measures, etc. Tasks would not only lead to crowd-sourcing of ideas but would also help institutions understand region-specific, sector-specific as well as individual success stories, best practices, and/or issues.
Another facet of the platform is the Creative Corner and Open Forum which allows institutions and bodies to organize contests for creative inputs on upcoming initiatives or open up discussions on specific themes/issues of national importance.

About you

Education:
Minimum Graduate and should be fluent in working on MS Office and Social Media platforms
Be no more than 20-30 years of age when you apply.
Experience:
0-3 Years of experience and should be comfortable working in shifts.
