Nishant Chandra and Siddharth Maheshwari founded in 2019, Newton School is an ed-tech platform building a futuristic online university to provide a highly immersive and interactive learning path to millions of students and enable them to tap into new-age tech opportunities.

Your role

They are looking for a visual design intern to join their design team. As a visual person, you are expected to work closely with the team to create product visuals.

They are looking for someone who’s not just good with creating clean illustrations, but someone who could think about the emotional layer of their product and contribute to the identity of Newton School.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Create and sketch a wide range of ideas for you and your team to pick solutions from.
• Collaborate with other designers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand the developer persona before you design illustrations.
• Help contribute to their visual guidelines for an impactful and cohesive brand identity.
• Learn efficient ways to ship visual work at pace and make their visual library more scalable and functional.

They have developed various methods to train you for the job like On-the-job training, guides from their strongest, fastest, and most innovative teams, and other training tools and programs. You will have absolute freedom to take ownership of your work and the freedom to take risks.

About you

Requirements and skills:

• They are looking for strong high intent folk who can own a lot of work during their stint.
• Good understanding of basic visual design principles.
• Excellent communication skills, bonus points if you understand tone and voice and how it applies to writing and visuals.
• Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design fundamentals.
• Brownie points out having experience with After Effects.
