About this job

Media Engineering organization helps to deliver a set of Web Services that are scalable and highly available for our Mobile Meters. This data and its derived analytics empower clients with the intelligence they need to drive revenue, increase market share, optimize their strategies, and much more. We implement services using the latest technologies to implement & Deploy scalable architectures, secure data storage, and transportation and Orchestrate multiple jobs on production data. Our current Initiatives include using Infrastructure as a Service, Reusable services, and developing and deploying serverless architectures at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Engineers help build and maintain data systems. They understand the stakeholder requirements, develop the algorithms and deploy them on production systems. Other responsibilities include improving data reliability, quality, and understanding and analyzing raw data to convert them into actionable algorithms.
• Analyze and understand the raw data
• Develop algorithms/business rules tailored to the stakeholder's needs
• Construct complex data analysis and reporting
• Writing unit test cases for the algorithms/data analysis/reporting
• Problem - Solving mindset and analytical skillset is a must
• Promote best practices in development and operations
• Ability to work in an Agile environment
• Create and maintain project-specific documentation
• Strong focus on innovation and use of open source technologies

A little bit about you

Knowledge of developing big data jobs using Scala(Preferable) or Python.

Qualification

Technologies (preferred in bold):

• Programming Languages: Scala(Preference 1), Python(Preference 2)
• Big Data Technologies: Spark, Hive
• Versioning: git
• AWS experience is a plus
