Job Description

NTPC Limited is India's largest integrated power company with installed capacity of 69,134 MW and has presence in the entire value chain of the power generation business. Commensurate with our country's growth challenges, NTPC has embarked upon an ambitious plan to attain a total installed capacity of 130 GW by 2032.NTPC is looking for research oriented professionals on Fixed Term basis as per details mentioned below,

Required Qualification as per the Post applied

1. Executive (Carbon Capture & Utilization):

• PhD in area related to Carbon Capture /UtiIization from reputed University/Institute
• Upper age limit 45 years 

2. Executive (Hydrogen) :

• PhD in area related to Hydrogen generation process from reputed University / Institute 
• Upper age limit 45 years 

3. Executive (Waste to Energy):

• PhD in area related to Biomass process from reputed University /Institute
• Upper age limit 45 years 

4. Executive (Ash Technologies):

• PhD in any area of Mechanical / Civil / Electrical in field related ‘Bulk Ash handling system’ from Recognized University / Institute

• Desirable : Knowledge of Geopolymer technology, Fly Ash Lime Gypsum (FALG), Development of cementitious material from thermal power plant ash, Development of products / Technologies from thermal power plant ash. Applicant should have research experience in development of fly ash, bottom ash & pond ash- based technologies / processes / products

• Upper age limit 45 years 

5. Executive (Non-Destructive Evaluation):

• Ph.D. in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Electrical from Recognized University / Institute and,
  • Personnel Certification in NDT (PCN) Level-2 in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) OR ISNT / ICN /ASNT certified NDE Level-2 in Ultrasonic Testing with Level 2 training in PAUT as per requirements of respective certification body
  • NDT Level 2 in Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) as per ISNT/ICN/ASNT
• Desirable : Apart from above NDT certifications, NDT Level 2 in ECT & PT Methods
• Upper age limit 45 years 

6. Executive (Analytical Chemistry):

• Ph.D in Chemistry from Recognized University / Institute AND
  Strong laboratory analytical skills in handling sophisticated instruments for water, resin, deposit, coal and oil related testing, like Spectrophotometer/ Microwave Digester/ Ion Chromatograph, Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer & ICP/ ICP-MS / DGA/Automatic bomb calorimeter/ RPVOT
• Upper age limit 45 years

7. Executive (Metallurgy):

• Ph.D in the field of Metallurgy / Microstructural characterization / Mechanical characterization / Heat treatment / Welding technology / Modelling of structure of metals / alloy structure / super alloy / advanced power plant materials etc. 
• Upper age limit 45 years
