NPCIL is responsible for the design, construction, commissioning, and operation of nuclear power reactors.

Your role

NPCIL declaring to induct Executive Trainees in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, and Civil disciplines by shortlisting candidates based on GATE Scores.

Candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interviews on the basis of valid scores obtained in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021/2022/2023.

Training & development

The selected candidates will be required to undergo one-year orientation training in any of the Training Facilities as follows.

• Pressurised Heavy Water Reactor(PHWR) stream:
  • A candidate of this stream shall undergo one-year induction training at any of the Nuclear Training Centres(NTC) of NPCIL sites.
• Light Water Reactor(LWR) Stream:
  • A candidate of this stream shall undergo one-year induction training at Nuclear Training Centre(NTC), located at Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project(KKNPP) Site, Nagercoil, Tamilnadu.
• For Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, and Instrumentation disciples, training will be either in Pressurised Heavy Water Reactor(PHWR) Stream or in Light Water Reactor(LWR) Stream. Candidates of these 5 disciples have to indicate their preference for 'Reactor Stream' in the online application.
• Candidates of Civil disciples are not required to indicate their choice of Reactor Stream'.
• NPCIL reserves the right to change the training stream, venue, and duration.

Salary & benefits

The candidate that is hired for the post of NPCIL Executive Trainee will be admitted into the organization

• Stipend during Training - INR 55,000/- per month, Level 10 INR 56,100/- Pay Matrix.

About You

To apply for this position, you must have the following eligibility criteria:

Educational qualification requirement:

• BE/B Tech/B. Sc (Engineering)/5-year Integrated M Tech with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in one of the 6 engineering disciplines from a University/Deemed University or Institute recognized by AICTE/UGC. A minimum of 60% marks means the marks as per the ordinances of the respective university.
• Applicants must have a valid GATE 2023/2022/2021 Score in the same engineering discipline as the qualifying degree discipline.

Age Limit ( as on 28 April 2023 ):

• General/EWS: 26 years
• OBC – NCL: 29 years
• SC/ST: 31 years
• PwBD: 36 – 41 years
• Dependents of those who died in the riots of 1984: 31 years
• Ex-Serviceman candidates: 31 years

• The selection process is based on merit drawn from the GATE Exams 2023/2022/2021 & the shortlisted candidates will be called for an Interview.
• The final Selection of candidates is based on their performance in the Personal Interview.
