Your role

In your role at Oceaneering India, you'll be trained in product design and development, including conceptualization, detailed design, and validation through engineering analysis, all under expert supervision.

Duties and responsibilities

Essentials

• Trained to study inputs available (Drawings, Client specifications, technical documents) for a product/design.
• Trained to design equipment to match specifications, including concept creation, detailed design, design calculations, bill of materials, and product-related technical documents.
• Trained to refine and improve product designs by evaluating current designs and developing new solutions.
• Trained to perform hand calculations related to electrical circuits and power systems.
• Trained to handle the technical changes and updates in PLM/PDM systems.

Non-essentials

• Undertake any other training/duties of a reasonable nature as required by Management.
• Demonstrates a high level of initiative to accomplish individual objectives assigned.
• Comply with organizational HR policies and procedures.

Safety

• Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable to ensure a safe working environment.

Other

• Carry out work by the Company's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Systems.
• Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems of the Company.
• Eliminate waste of whatever form, suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities.

Reporting relationship

• Apprentice Trainee - Engineer will be reporting directly to Sr. Manager/Manager Engineering.
   

About you

Qualifications

Required

• Graduation /Post Graduation in Electrical Engineering.

Desired

• Familiarity with any Multiphysics packages such as Comsol.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.   
• Familiarity with AutoCAD & any calculation software.

Knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics

This position is considered Office work which is characterized as follows. 

• Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
• Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace.
• The work surface is stable (flat).
