Job Description
Under the supervision of the Vice President of Wholesale and Correspondent Sales, this position will be responsible for developing and leading production efforts with a national book of mortgage brokers, bankers, and correspondents across the nation who are actively involved with Reverse Mortgages or interested in doing so. The ability to cultivate and develop customer relationships along with maintaining an ongoing commitment to business development is a must.
Job Functions and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Develop strong relationships with mortgage companies, banks, and credit unions to position Liberty as the standard in reverse mortgage lending
- Responsible for the conveyance of Liberty's value proposition to all partners
- Build and cultivate relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications to move opportunities through the sales funnel
- Demonstrate sales skills and product knowledge in all areas to create effective partnerships with clients
- Manage client and prospect relationships to maximize all opportunities and optimize market share in all business verticals offered by Liberty, PHH Mortgage, Ocwen, and our subsidiaries
- Develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on external business owners, direct mail, email, and networking
- Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory, including the use of Salesforce (CRM) to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
- Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of Client Satisfaction
- Work directly with supporting departments to address inquiries on existing opportunities and expedite partner-related issues through verbal or written communications
- Represent the organization at various local and national tradeshow events
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:
- High School diploma, GED, or military equivalent
- Two plus years of experience in the mortgage industry, specifically in Reverse Wholesale or in a similar B2B sales role
- Proven success prospecting and developing a book of new Reverse Mortgage partners
- Proven ability to develop positive influential working relationships with clients and teammates across the company
- Demonstrates the ability to gather, and submit detailed business information for credit underwriting, pricing, and presentation of solutions to identified prospects' business problems.
- Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
- Ability to build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the client, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity
- Willingness to travel and work with a national team of professionals
- Proven ability to achieve and succeed in sales objectives
- Must be able to identify and assess changes in the client's business strategy, market penetration, and financial stability to recognize business opportunities and potential risk issues
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), ability to use Encompass preferred
