Job Description

Objective :

The objective of the ONGC Fellowship program is to create a cadre of visionary leaders. These leaders would be groomed to help and create an impact on society. With the proper guidance and training from ONGC Foundation, these fellows will ensure community ownership of the constructed toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission and inculcate positive behavior change to bring a sense of responsibility among people and the public authorities. They will create advocacy and awareness of the beneficiaries on the importance of sanitation and hygiene and be a part of a change.

In this view, 15 fellows will be engaged for 12 months for supporting the work of the ONGC Foundation.

The fellows will identify and monitor 200 Urjak Fellows who will work on the ground in conducting surveys, identifying contractors/agencies for repairing school toilets, verifying the functionality of toilets, and undertaking IEC sessions and awareness on WASH with various stakeholders

  • The fellows will get hands-on experience with grassroots challenges and implementation modules which will help them in charting a worthy social work career.
  • The Fellows will make a change at the grassroots level.
  • Fellows are required to evaluate the need for groundwork, and prove support in research and development for better outcomes of the Swachhta Fellowship Program by the ONGC Foundation.

Responsibilities :

This is a full-time paid position for passionate fellows and interns who are concerned for social causes and want a career boost in the marketing and designing sector.

  • The responsibilities of FELLOWS will include:
  • Identifying and hiring the right candidate for Urjak Fellowship
  • Planning and Monitoring regular progress of Urjak Fellows and providing them with regular feedback.
  • End-to-End Management of Survey to be undertaken in various schools across states by Urjak fellows.
  • Conducting routine review meetings with the team of Urjak fellows.
  • Overseeing the implementation of school surveys at the grassroots level.
  • Ensure Behaviour change towards toilet use amongst community members.
  • Coordinating and regulating data collection, collation, and analysis.
  • Build a network and connect with district administration and agencies.
  • Provide programmatic and technical support to project teams and partner organizations for strengthening thematic engagements.
  • Provide technical assistance to field implementation teams on improving WASH activities that aim to improve the quality of the lives of the community sustainably through community-centric approaches.
  • Collaborate and assist in designing IEC materials and facilitating training programs.
  • Opportunities to involve with various projects of ONGC Foundation and to interact with multiple stakeholders
