Your role

As a part of the Mental Health Program, the intern will perform the following duties:

  • Review of the scientific and grey literature to synthesize validated information relevant to programs and policies in the mental health ecosystem in India.
  • Assist the program team in conducting secondary research to retrieve the data and information relevant to various ongoing projects.
  • Support program team in preparing relevant infographics for knowledge collaterals such as IEC materials, project reports, technical briefs, etc.
  • Attend team meetings/calls and take part in various operational activities of the program.

Overall learning goals for the intern include but are not limited to:

  • Develop a broad understanding of the landscape in the Mental Health Ecosystem in India and globally.
  • Learn hands-on skills in secondary research, literature review, and developing knowledge collaterals.
  • Develop project management skills by participating in internal planning discussions.

About you

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree (public health, psychology, health policy, medical anthropology, social sciences); candidates with bachelor’s Degrees with experience may also apply.
  • High-Level Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) 
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening English and Hindi is essential.

Desirable skillset:

  • Understanding of secondary research, literature review, and qualitative methods. 
  • Ability to prepare and deliver good presentations.
  • Ability to work on group as well as individual assignments. 
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and work in a fast-paced work environment. 
  • Prior experience/internship in relevant health domains will be an added advantage.
