PRS is a leading research group with the mission to strengthen India’s democracy by helping Parliament and state assemblies be more effective. These institutions make laws, hold the governments accountable and allocate public funds. It is important that they have information and analysis to perform their functions well, and that citizens have channels of engaging with their elected representatives.
The candidate is expected to collate and manage data on the working of legislatures and various policies, prepare analytical notes, and communicate the analysis to a wide audience. The candidate should have a background in data sciences and should be well-versed in at least one programming language among Python, Java, C++ and Javascript. It is essential to have prior experience in data scraping, analysis and visualisation.
The role is based in Delhi and may require travel for research and dissemination of research. The position reports to the Head of Research.
The annual salary for this role can range from INR 6.5 to 7 LPA (Source: Ambitionbox).
