Candidate Identification and Recruitment Process

  • Identify qualified candidates by coordinating resume processes, preparing interview forms, and conducting reference checks
  • Respond to incoming resumes as appropriate
  • Provide HR Consultants and/or Hotels with resumes that meet position requirements
  • Conduct screening interviews

Administrative Support for Recruitment Process

  • Coordinate candidate interview schedules
  • Update candidates on the status of the selection process
  • Draft offer letters

Handling Recruitment Process for Assigned Non-Exempt Positions

  • Screen and refer candidates
  • Offer positions to selected candidates

Recruitment Status Reports

  • Maintain current statistics on open and filled positions
  • Track and summarize recruitment costs as necessary

Workers' Compensation and Workplace Safety & Health

  • Assist in coordinating responses to EEO complaints, WS&H, Union Relations, and grievances by researching situations and gathering information as requested
  • Maintain record-keeping requirements of Workers’ Compensation as directed and provide necessary follow-up
  • Ensure Return to Work programs are implemented and that all Workers Compensation cases are reported to the Human Resources Manager

Employee Relations and Support

  • Assist Department Heads in handling employee situations by counseling them in preparing appropriate verbal and written communication to employees
  • Assist the Human Resources Manager in ensuring the quality and consistency of performance appraisals by reviewing appraisals and counseling Supervisors on appraisals that do not conform to Brand’s standards
  • Foster a positive attitude towards the Hotel and work environment by assisting the Human Resources Manager in planning and coordinating employee orientation, conducting training sessions, and other ongoing programs
  • Handle transfer or reclassification requests
  • Utilize leadership skills and motivation techniques to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction
  • Assist in coordinating wage and performance review activities of the Hotel to ensure compliance with the law and control costs
  • Inform employees of benefits, Hotel policies, etc.
  • Conduct training sessions as requested
  • Administer special employee promotions

  • Create 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Yes I Can! experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations
  • Provide employees with the training and resources they need to maximize employee engagement and deliver Yes I Can! service and teamwork
  • Give personal attention, take personal responsibility, and use teamwork when providing guest service
  • Listen, apologize with empathy, find a solution, and follow through when resolving guest problems
  • Provide Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
  • Assume the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and use best judgment to determine when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction guarantee
  • Perform other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees
  • Keep the immediate Supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objective of this position
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other hotel employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment
  • Project a favorable image of the Hotel to the public at all times
