Role
We are looking for QA engineers with experience in manual testing of web/mobile applications along with Selenium skills to write automation suites. We religiously follow the TDD approach in our development cycles and hence as a QA engineer in Shaadi.com, the role also requires you to own the requirements and constantly add value by not just telling what is working right but also by telling what would work right.
What you will do in this role
- Participate and contribute to story prioritization, criteria finalization, and User Experience discussions.
- Write the Manual Test Cases.
- Prepare test plans and test scripts to test each software component and requirement.
- Participate in the test case Peer Review process
- Setup test conditions prior to script execution.
- Execute test scripts and document the results in Quality Center/Jira.
- Log defects in the defect tracking system and follow entered defects through the lifecycle of creation to resolution.
- Identify and automate the right set of cases to build the regression test for the project partnering with the horizontal automation team. Execute automation as needed during the test cycle.
- Manual Execution of Test cases on mobile devices.
- Participate in Sprint Planning & Retrospective Meetings.
- Collaborate with Dev teams to find bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Write Automation Test Scripts on Appium and execute them on mobile platforms.
Job Requirements
What you should have
- 2+ years of QA experience in consumer products with hands-on experience in testing mobile applications/ mobile websites.
- Education: BE (Comp/IT), ME (Comp/IT), MCA, M.Tech, B.Tech.
- Good analytical abilities and logical thinking.
- Adhere to time and agile principles and work closely with the wider team.
- Critical thinking and Defect management, reporting and tracking the test cases.
- Good hold on SQL
- Experience in functional, regression and integration testing of API services.
- Flexible to work on multiple technologies and languages.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Should have hands-on experience and expertise on Selenium, Appium, Postman and Test Automation tools and Framework designing, development and enhancement.
- Passion for finding and sharing best practices of user experience.
- Passion for identifying boundary conditions and edge cases to increase the reliability of QA results and releases.
- Experience in API testing using Postman.

- Experience with an Agile/ Serum / Kanban environment.
- Experience with GIT, Jira and ALM.
- Focused on Continuous Improvement.
- Experienced in BDD, TDD, DevOps, CI/CD enablement.
- Primary Skill: Mobile Testing/Selenium Appium, Postman/ Exp on API testing using Postman
