Job Description: 

The Technical Analyst – IAM  role provides support to the IAM IT Process Owner (ITPO) in delivering bottom-line value to the business through the design of efficient and innovative processes that are integrated with information risk management policies and standards and include effective design and operation of controls with adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.  Policy and processes are designed using Best Practices that consist of process steps to be followed with references to methods, standards and controls, including details on required contents, tools and IT Trusted Sources for data management.   Best Practices are not static but require ongoing improvement to enable Business Value and Risk Management.

Identity and Access Management: The ideal candidate will be an IT professional responsible for understanding the IAM projects in the Shell Security / Identity and Access Management technology areas. The Infrastructure Projects Technical Consultant (IPTC) ensures these solutions conform with the Enterprise IT architecture, are designed for successful delivery and focus on design and execution in addition to consulting. The Project Charters may be requested to manage infrastructure projects and/or provide senior-level expertise with hands-on activities surrounding IAM process design activities. The candidate should be expected to be a technical leader for the Infrastructure Portfolio and Products Development (IPPD) team.

Responsible for understanding business requirements and delivering specific infrastructure systems, applications and designs for large complex IT solutions that comply with Shell’s underlying technical operating environments.

Requires a strong understanding of SAML, OIDC, OAuth and other Identity, Authentication and Access technologies and infrastructure as well as experience implementing IAM type software.  Desire someone who has experience in a senior technical consultant role who can clearly communicate technical concepts and information across different stakeholder groups. Additionally, the individual should be comfortable within Agile and Waterfall project methodologies and IT frameworks.

Relationship Management Support the IAM ITPO to drive a One Team mindset; work closely with SOM Control Leads & Specialists to understand challenges and how together we align strategic success goals to deliver value. Works with the natural team in IT and supports the IAM ITPO to ensure all are operating with a commercial mindset and driving measurable value.

Business Intelligence: Understand the Business and Industry landscape, including strategic priorities, challenges and how this relates to the wider enterprise strategy and competitive landscape.  Supports the IAM ITPO in contributing to business decisions through strong relationships, business and IT understanding and external market perspectives.

Understand the nature of Privileged Access Management including a Risk-Based approach for Highly Privileged application access, database access, and infrastructure access. 

Accountabilities The IAM Technical Analyst - supports the definition of requirements and business processes, and supports the execution of assessments of the design and operational effectiveness of embedded controls to ensure an appropriate balance of risk management and business enablement.  In addition to these preventative measures, the IAM Process Analyst considers the cyber threat landscape and the vulnerabilities as a result of IAM both on-premise and cloud-based within Shell.
 
The Process Analyst ensures evergreening of the IAM processes as a result of introducing process Continuous Improvements for long term evergreening and changes in strategies and IT solutions and ensures IAM Process alignment with IAM and Security management strategy and business goals. 
 
For Consumer Identity this is at the core, the processes for ensuring appropriate data privacy, adherence to regulatory requirements, and managing who has access to which resources and services, as well as enforcing business, privacy, and security policies
