Your role

The Team:

As a member of the SAM (Software Asset Management) team, you will apply your knowledge and experiences in managing Software Licensing by supporting and protecting S&P Global from software vendor audits, compliance, and regulatory risks, and overspending on software licenses. 

Responsibilities and Impact:

• The IT Asset Management team focuses on Software Asset Management ensuring licensing compliance is adhered to, and annual licensing expenses are optimized.  Both initiatives will result in reduced penalties and cost savings for the company.
• Candidate will work in a team environment, responding to Software Requests using Service Now
• You will own and update your assigned work orders from request to installation, providing daily updates to end users and making necessary follow-ups to internal partners.
• You will enter and maintain license entitlement data into the Software Asset Management repository inside Service Now
• You will interact with colleagues, software vendors and internal IT departments, including Service Desk, IT Procurement, IT Finance and IT Division Leads.
• You will be involved in special projects such as data collection for enterprise software renewals, polling end users on their software use, analysing procurement and entitlement data, and researching licensing terms, contracts and agreements.

About you

Basic required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Legal, Computer Science, Information Systems or Business is required
• Preferred experience as a Software Asset Manager, Software License Auditor, IT Procurement, or related field is required.
• Preferred experience analyzing data and utilizing data analysis tools and techniques.
• Ability to collaborate with business and technology teams.
• Experience working with software inventory discovery data and license entitlement data
• Experience interpreting complex legal, financial, and technical software licensing terms and conditions and contracts.
• Prior experience with Office365/Teams Platforms.  Advanced Excel skills are preferred.
• Experience working within the ServiceNow platform is a plus

Additional preferred qualifications:
