The Team

You will join a team of data professionals that is responsible for Ratings, Reference, Default, and Recovery data content across S&P Global Ratings. The data assets support S&P Global rating products, research studies, regulatory filings, criteria research, and Market Intelligence products across all sectors. The team partners with the technology teams to complete data projects, automation projects, transformation projects, and new product development projects. The group is part of the Data Content Management team which is responsible for all data content management as it relates to the rating enterprise databases, analytic workflow tools, and downstream Market Intelligence products.

The Impact

This role will be responsible for supporting the senior team members as it relates to project deliverables including reviewing business requirements, data testing, user acceptance testing, establishing data governance standards, automation deliverables, and new process deliverables. All Data Content Management is based on internal processes, guidelines, and best practices in a deadline-driven environment with a focus on innovation and transformation. The role is suited for a candidate who wants to build a career in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Complete project deliverables utilizing enterprise databases, data management tools, and data profiling tools to meet project deadlines
  • Learn and apply data content business rules and quality standards related to Ratings, Reference, and Default, and Recovery Content
  • Quality test data using internal tools and data sources, resolve data defects
  • Understand rating data definitions and understand the ratings and reference data as it relates to the rating release process
  • Assist in ad-hoc research activities
