Job Description

Burnpur Hospital invites applications for Walk In Interview for engagement of trainees under a Proficiency Training Programme (Paramedics) from Qualified Paramedics in the field of Operation Theatre, Dresser, X-Ray, ECG Technician, Pharmacist, Laboratory & Blood Bank Technician, Pulmonary Function Test Technician, Optometrist, Phlebotomist, Vaccinator, Dental Hygienist and Dental Room Assistance / Dental Operating Room Assistance, Dialysis Technician, for a period of 18 months.

Date of Interview : 12th & 13th August, 2022

Place of Interview : Confluence, Opp. to Burnpur Post Office, Near Bharti Bhawan, P.O. Burnpur -713325, DT: Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal.

Reporting Time:  09.00 am with documents in original

Eligibility Criteria

Upper Age limit 

• General candidates - 30 years as on 01/08/2022
• OBC Candidates - 33 years as on 01/08/2022
• ST & SC Candidates - 35 years as on 01/08/2022
• PH candidates - 45 for SC/ST, 43 for OBC and 40 for UR

The Medical fitness of the candidate selected as trainee under the instant scheme will be examined by the Medical Officer of Burnpur Hospital, SAIL-IISCO Steel Plant, Burnpur and shall be allowed to join the training only if he/ she has been declared fit for the programme. The candidate selected as Trainees shall be required to produce all the testimonials and certificates of relevant qualification (matriculation onwards) as detailed below:

Required Qualification

1. Operation Theatre Technician

 Intermediate (10+2) with Science from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. & 2(Two) Years Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology from any university / institution
recognized by the Central or State Govt. (Or) Graduate in Operation Theatre Technology from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Gov

2. Dresser 

Intermediate (10+2) with Science from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. & Diploma or Certificate Course in Dresser from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt.

3. X-Ray Technician 

Intermediate (10+2) with Science from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. & 2(Two) Years Diploma in Radiography(DRD) from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. (Or) Graduate in Radiography from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. (Experience in CT-Scan will be given preference)

4. ECG technician (including OHSC)

Intermediate (10+2) with Science from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. & 2(Two) Years Diploma in ECG Technology from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. (Or) Graduate in ECG Technology from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt.

5 Dialysis Technician 

Intermediate (10+2) with Science from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. & 2 (Two) Years Diploma in Dialysis Technology from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. with 6 months working experience (Or) Graduate in Dialysis Technology from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt.with 6 months working experience

6. Pharmacist

Intermediate (10+2) with Science from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. & 2(Two) Years Diploma in Pharmacy from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. (Or) Graduate in Pharmacy from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State.

7. Laboratory + Blood Bank Technician

Intermediate (10+2) with Science from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. & 2 (Two) Years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. (Or) Graduate in Medical Laboratory Technology ( BMLT) from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt.

8. PFT Technician

Intermediate (10+2) with Science from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. & 2(Two) Years Diploma in Pulmonary Function Test Technology from any university / institution
recognized by the Central or State Govt. (Or) Graduate in Pulmonary Function Test Technology from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt.

9. Optometrist

Intermediate (10+2) with Science from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. & 2(Two) Years Diploma in Optometry from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt.(Or) Graduate in Optometry from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt.

10. Phlebotomist 

B.Sc. / Diploma in Medical Lab. Technology from a recognised institute/ university with 10+2 Science (OR) Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) from a recognized institute / university with a valid Nursing Council Registration Certificate (OR) Matriculation or its equivalent with certificate in phlebotomy from a recognized institution.

11. Vaccinator 

Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery (ANM) / General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) / B.Sc. Nursing from a
recognized institute / university with a valid Nursing Council Registration Certificate.

12. Dental Hygienist 

Intermediate (10+2) with Science from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. & Diploma in Dental Hygiene from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. (Or) Graduate in Dental Hygiene from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt.

13. Dental Assistant/Dental operating room assistant

Intermediate (10+2) with Science from any university / institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. with minimum 1yr Certificate Course in Dental Assistance (Or) Diploma in Dental Operating Room Assistant.

Selection Procedure

The trainees to be inducted shall be based on the performance of the candidates in the walk-in interview subject to their fulfilling the advertised eligibility criteria.

Training Hours: The training shall be imparted for 8 hours in a day and 48 hours in a week

Important Note

• Please bring all Original documents and a set of photocopy of the same duly self- attested along with 1(one) recent colour passport sized photograph.
• The candidates are required to bring any Govt. issued ID Proof (viz., AADHAR/ PAN/ Voters’ ID Card etc.) alongwith a self attested photo copy of the same.
