The Data Quality Analyst position requires a person who enjoys data analysis, identifies trends and develops solutions that will aid in improving the data quality of business data. The focus of this role is principally on data related to business systems, involving order to cash, CRM domains. The job will involve interacting with internal teams to understand business requirements, identifying appropriate data sources, sourcing and cleansing data. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who likes challenges in sourcing and integrating disparate datasets, data mining, and analytics.

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Work with internal teams to source, validate, and resolve data issues.
  • Be the expert on data and on solutions for improving data quality.
  • Effectively support the business with data conversion activities for a further order to cash deployments, including acquisition integrations.
  • Execution of established data processes; perform required data validation, data testing and remediation activities.
  • Serves as a team member on analysis projects ensuring quality deliverables and relevant recommendations. May serve as a lead for team projects.
  • Summarizes analytical data into user-friendly reports translating highly technical, detailed data into appropriate recommendations for business users.
  • Development and execution of various test plans specifically focused on data quality and data functionality.

Requirements

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis and validation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Must be a team player, self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Capable of responding to a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be willing to work in a global team environment.                                                                                                                                     
  • Database modelling knowledge preferred.
  • Proven understanding of data management, processes, and interdependencies.
  • Proven ability to Discover & Profile Datasets, perform root cause analysis and recommend solutions
  • Competencies in the following tools
    • SQL
    • Advanced Excel
    • VBA
    • Access and any relational database
    • Familiarity with enterprise data warehouse and BI reporting tools 
  • Strong learning ability
  • Understand the data and data processes and practices, as well as key business processes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and excellent relationship management skills

Education

  • Four years college degree in a technical or business field of study
  • Data related Professional certifications a plus
