Your role

As a fact-checking producer, you’ll be:

  • Working on an exciting project that aims to tackle misinformation on social media
  • Deeply familiar with communication styles on social media, and have a proven interest in global current affairs
  • Part of the global fact-checking team
  • This graduate entry-level position will involve identifying viral content relating to misinformation topics and taking the appropriate steps to establish the facts behind it.
  • You will be expected to communicate your findings in a clear format, so strong writing and communication skills are necessary.

About you

To be a fact-checking producer, you must: 

  • Demonstrate an analytical approach and an ability to research independently 
  • Show strong news judgement 
  • Be able to identify emerging trends and stories 
  • Have precise written English 

To be an attractive candidate,

  • Prior experience in reporting, social media newsgathering or fact-checking would be a clear advantage.
  • However, as full training will be given, a willingness to learn quickly is at least as important.

This role has a daytime shift pattern and includes weekend work.
